I've been experimenting with my own diet based on a bit of learning; some of the stuff I've looked at over the last few months:

Summary: good overview of some of the scientific research and practice surrounding plant-based diets (including China study).

How Not to Die: book behind the website that is loaded with science-based, peer-reviewed nutrition information: https://nutritionfacts.org/
Summary: the science behind plant-based theory, with plenty of videos on various topics and good search; free, un-sponsored, and requires no joining or account creation.

What the Health: a documentary on Netflix, also can be viewed from website: http://www.whatthehealthfilm.com/
Summary: plant-based diet story that points out how food producers influence recommended eating guidelines and public policy.
